In 2007, we turned our Pet Rock Oscar into a new car for a fantastic Brisbane-based charity called Youngcare. Hello to Simon, Erin and all the team at Youngcare.com.au
It was a fun project and involved ‘trading’ Oscar on our website for unusual – or funny – items. The idea was to raise the profile of Youngcare and, through the generosity of the media and the public, get enough publicity until one day, someone traded us for a new car.
That one day came last October when a Brisbane man called Brett Curtis told us he would buy the $41,000 car for Youngcare. And he did which makes him a legend forever. Thanks Brett.

We’re now planning a new charity project but aren’t quite sure where to start. We’ve got some great ideas bouncing around in our heads – from helping the homeless do some art work, to getting presents to needy kids through a shoebox appeal.
We hope to decide which project is the best really soon, and we will then launch that project on our site.
